Mevlut Cavusoglu and Gent Cakaj shaking hands, Tirana
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has revealed some details of his meeting with his Albanian counterpart Gent Cakaj. He also cited as a significant point the threat from the terrorist organization, FETO, adding that they have demanded from our country their deportation to Turkey.

Cavusoglu responded to the media interest regarding the number of Gülenists in Albania.

He also indicated that soon the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Albania.

“Turkey is the biggest investor in Albania. Many of our firms have made significant investments in Albania. I explained some problems our employees face in Albania. Get the opening date of the negotiations. FETO is not only dangerous in Turkey, but also in the countries where it is located.

It is an organization that is controlled by the services of some countries. We have also explained the danger they pose. I don't have exact figures, but there are hundreds we are waiting to be returned to Turkey. We do not want Albania to be a security gateway to FETO. We think FETO's presence is a danger and threat to Albania's future, we thank for what has done, but we know it is not easy. Preparatory visit for our president's visit,” Cavusoglu said among others things.
