The first child of 2020 is a girl born in Tirana named Emel

 

 After two years with a boy, the first child born in Albania this year is a girl. She is named Emel and is the second child of her family.

Emel is the first baby born in Albania in 2020. The girl was born just 1 minute after midnight at the Queen Geraldine Maternity Hospital in Tirana. Emel is the second child in her family. A few moments later, another baby has been born, this time a boy.

"She was born a few minutes after midnight," said the girl's father.

While the doctor Fatmir Kopani said that mother and daughter enjoy full health.

In Kosovo, the first child for 2020 is a male, while in Macedonia the first birth was that of twins made of one boy and girls in the Skopje maternity.
