Switzerland: 38-year-old Albanian jumps from the third floor and is seriously injured

In Aargau of Lenzburg Canton, a person jumped from the 3rd floor of an apartment building Monday evening. Now he has been hospitalized with serious injuries.

A family feud appears to have taken place in Lenzburg on Monday evening. A 38-year-old Albanian man from Kosovo jumped from the balcony on the 3rd floor of a residential building in Lenzburg AG, Swiss media writes.

Later, other details came to light: the 38-year-old's wife called the emergency call at 4pm and reported that the man beat her and one of their children. Police went immediately to the building in question.

When police met at the apartment with the alleged suspect, he had initially behaved calmly. But suddenly, he grabbed a knife and was holding in his neck.

Although the cops tried to calm him down and take control of the situation, he had gone to the balcony, and still holding the knife in his hand, was sitting on the balcony wall.

While the cops were talking to him for minutes, he suddenly fell down. As a result, he suffered serious injuries falling from a height of nearly eight meters.

An ambulance transported him to Aarau Cantonal Hospital, where she had to be operated. Currently no further information is available on his health condition.

The wife and children have been unharmed. The background and motives of the person concerned are still unclear. The Lenzburg-Aarau public prosecutor's office has opened a criminal investigation.
