Russians fined after illegally entering Kosovo
Two Russian nationals who were detained yesterday in North Kosovo for illegal crossing of the Serbia-Kosovo border were fined 250 euros and will leave Kosovo, the president of the Basic Court of Mitrovica Nikola Kabasic told to media.

In addition to the sentence imposed, they were also required to pay court costs.

Kosovo police arrested two Russian nationals - a man and a woman - on January 13th.

They have told Kosovo authorities that they intended to reach Lukovska Banja - a rehabilitation center in southern Serbia, near the Jarina border crossing point - and that the navigation system had mistakenly sent them to the border with Kosovo.

The prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica, Slobodan Bakic, said that the two Russians initially made attempts to cross the Jarin border crossing, but due to lack of visas, they returned back.

After trying again to get to the bathroom, they used alternative routes and entered Kosovo, where they were later caught by police.

The prosecutor identified them as Egor Igorevic (Igor Krasikov) and Marina Vladimirovna Krasikova.
