Germany Removes Kosovo from List of Security Verification States

 Acting Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has announced that Germany has decided to remove Kosovo from the list of Security Verification Countries.

Haradinaj wrote on Facebook that since today Germany and Kosovo are closer than ever before.



“The decision that the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany from January 24, 2020, has removed the Republic of Kosovo from the List of States for Security Verification otherwise known as SÜG (Sicherheitsüberprüfungsgesetz) is a wonderful news and of particular importance to Kosovo, Germany and the citizens of both countries," he said.

The acting Prime Minister stated that this decision opens a new chapter of bilateral relations between Kosovo and Germany and deepens our inter-state relations.

"Thank you to the German Government, the security authorities and Chancellor Merkel," Haradinaj wrote.
