The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, received in a meeting the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Chile, Octavio Errazuriz Guilisasti, on the occasion of presenting the Letters of Credence.
President Meta praised the good level of relations between the two countries, and stressed the need for their further expansion, through increased political dialogue, economic and cultural cooperation with Chile.

Also, President Meta encouraged increased cooperation between the two countries in dealing with natural disasters, referring to Chile's experience of taking appropriate action, from the terrible experiences of earthquakes in the past.
