Americans want to produce weapons in Bulgaria

Representatives of eight US companies visited Bulgaria to hold 70 meetings with Bulgarian companies. The US Embassy in Sofia announced this on its Facebook profile.

Businessmen also participated in a forum dedicated to the problems of the cyber defense and security industry, organized by the Central European and US Business Association. It was attended by several ministers from the Bulgarian cabinet.

It became clear that US companies such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Oshkosh Defense, Textron, and IBM are interested in the joint production of weapons and warfare equipment in Bulgarian plants and in tenders for arms supplies and fighting technique for the Bulgarian Army. The Home Office will seek US business assistance in the area of communications control and tracking in the implementation of the 5G network.
