Alba, the girl who 'conquered' Italian media recounts the truth: How I decided to keep the surname Sgarbi
Alba Sgarbi is the daughter of Vittorio Sgarbi (politician, television personality, analyst), the controversial character of Italian television.

There is much rumor in the Italian media about Vittorio Sgarbi, who has a child with an Albanian woman.

Alba's mother, Kozeta Aidini, a lyric singer who lives in Italy, has never appeared in photos or videos, despite journalists' insistence.

But in the Summer of 2017, Alba Sgarbi appeared alongside her father Vittorio in a photo by the Italian magazine Chi. Rumors came to an end and it was confirmed that Alba, the daughter of an Albanian mother, is the daughter of a well-known art critic.

Alba Sgarbi was invited today on the show of the journalist Rudina on the Albanian Tv Klan, for the first time and exclusively in an interview for an Albanian media. Alba told us that she lived in Italy until she was 5 years old, and then came to Albania where she also learned Albanian, the mother tongue. Although she left Albania, she meets constantly his father Vittorio Sgarbi.

“I was born in Rome and stayed in Italy until I was 5 years old. Then I went back to Albania to learn Albanian because the first language I knew was Italian. And I continued my studies, high school and all here in Tirana. During the time I was in touch with Dad, only when I went for Christmas, New Year's holidays, when I went for the Summer Holidays that I stayed with him the most. I could meet my dad about 2-3 times a year. I stayed with Mom, I met Dad a little less often. But I've always been in touch with him and the reports have been incredibly good. In fact, he has two other children, a sister and a brother, who are with two other mums, and he has not lived with any of us. He never wanted to start a family. Mom has been in Italy all the time and worked. She built her life there as well. Mom had been married before, but her husband had an accident and died. Then she met my father, where I was born. Speculation then is other, that I might have been the other person's child, but no it's not true. He passed away long ago."

After birth, Alba's mother placed her surname. She did not recognize her father from the beginning, but after growing up he decided to keep his father's surname.

"Vittorio knew me later, because his mum too was with the mentality of wanting a family, saying he didn't want to know kids out of wedlock and things like that. That is why my cause has been so difficult. Plus my mom also put her surname at the beginning. This was Mom's choice, she didn't want to know I was the daughter of this public character, she wanted to keep this fact anonymous. But Vittorio wanted, but his mum didn't. This has been the situation. I decided to keep my dad's last name and now I'm with the last name Sgarbi. It's also a bit embarrassing to carry that surname weight."

But what is it like to be the daughter of a well-known public figure in Italy?

"I am asked how it is possible that he has a half Albanian and half Italian girl, that is they are curious about this."

Alba is currently studying in Milan but says she would like to follow in her father's footsteps in the future.

"I wish I had a gallery of mine, a private gallery maybe here in Tirana, but I don't know ...".

The Italian-Albanian beauty and her father, Vittorio Sgarbi, will soon be in Tirana with a project to help Albania deal with the earthquake's aftermath.
