The tragic earthquake that hit Albania on Tuesday morning at 03:54 brought Albanians from all over the world together. Many of them continue to provide relief, such as money, shelter, food, clothing or other assistance to the affected by the earthquake. Kosovo has been among the first to offer full support, Kosovo Albanians have opened the doors of their homes to welcome families who have been left without a roof over their heads. All have been involved in helping in all forms for the situation Albania is going through after the earthquake that took many lives (32 deaths documented), left many injured and caused material damage. Trucks packed with aid have been sent to the Albanian border, with clothing, food, and blankets being shipped to all Kosovo municipalities in an organized manner.
While Last night's "NIN" show in Klan Kosova was dedicated to earthquake victims. In the studio have been invited singers such as Lori, Mozzik and Kushtrim Sheremeti.
One of the calls was that of Mrs. Gjyljeta from Peja who is suffering from cancer. The latter offered 50 euros to support some of the earthquake victims. As she sought out information on the money transfer process, the lady tearfully stirred emotion and tears at the show's guests.
“I'm sick of cancer. I would like to donate 50 euros," she said in tears on 'NIN' on a direct donation phone line to help Albanians affected by the earthquake.
This gesture of the lady caused tears to the guests who were in the studio and became part of the initiative to raise as much money as possible to help earthquake victims.
