The Netherlands votes on the protocol for North Macedonia's NATO membership

The Dutch Senate ratified this afternoon the Protocol for North Macedonia's NATO accession. The news was made available by Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov through a post on social media. After receiving the green light from the Netherlands, France and Spain will also have to ratify the NATO Protocol, whereby North Macedonia will formally become the 30th member of the Alliance.

Defense Minister Radmilla Sekerinska said today that ratification in France is expected to be completed by the end of November or by the London Summit, while the only ratification remains that of Spain, for which more precise estimates would be made even after the new government be clear.

"According to the announcements, the first session of the Spanish Parliament will be in early December. Any speculation now, will only be speculation. We are attentively following the events, constantly sending the message that is very important for us, but also for the region, our membership to be as fast as possible,” said Sekerinska, who today visited the renovated and equipped laboratories at the Military Academy Mihailo Apostoloski in the Goce Delcev barracks, where is installed the advanced educational technology dedicated to the project of advancing education in distance.
