France and the Netherlands must be ashamed of because of the negotiations refusal for Albania and North Macedonia, Sewer says

"France and the Netherlands should be ashamed because of the way they dealt with Albania and Northern Macedonia," US analyst Daniel Serwer said in a speech at the conference 'United States of America in the Western Balkans'. He expressed his conviction that Albania and North Macedonia deserved the opening of negotiations while stressing that the best response now is to commit to the required reforms.

“This country has made progress. When I came 22 years ago the country was in total chaos. Since then you have gone through good economic development, not to say spectacular, and building an open and modern market economy, as well as integration with other Balkan countries. You have met the criteria for opening accession negotiations, for EU accession. It is only the political circumstances that have prevented EU accession. France and the Netherlands should be ashamed of their dealings with Albania and North Macedonia. You are obviously disappointed and irritated and I understand you. The right answer is a commitment to the demands of reforms and the demands in order to become part of the EU.” he continued.
