Prosecution seeks 12 years in prison for Saimir Tahiri

The prosecution asked for Saimir Tahiri to serve 12 years in prison, and the same sentence has been sought for Jaeld Çela, the former Vlora Police Director on the run.

But the Court has accepted a summary judgment, which means the sentence is reduced to eight years in prison for each. However should be awaited the verdict of the Court.

Prosecutors also presented evidence that Tahiri has given protection to the Habilaj group traffickers arrested in Sicily for international drug trafficking. Saimir Tahiri has defended saying he has not given any protection by showing facts as in the case of the Audi vehicle that he has requested verification.
