Greek Police blocks a ton of marijuana in Ioannina, near Albania
 
 Greek police said they seized about a ton of marijuana in a truck that was stranded at the entrance to Ioannina, the northern Greek town next door to Albania. According to Greek police, the driver of the resulting stolen truck is a 30-year-old foreign citizen.

According to Greek policy, the operation had begun at the border with Albania. According to Greek media, the narcotics were suspected to have been transported from the border area in small quantities on the truck destined to Greek cities. The anti-drug operation was carried out by the Greek Anti-Drug Division and the amount of narcotics has been among the largest blocked in recent years by Greek police.

The same day, Albanian police arrested another member of four criminal groups who were detained yesterday for activities in the field of narcotics. According to Albanian Police, the number of those arrested has gone to 58 people accused of being involved in the cultivation and then trafficking of narcotics to Greece.
