Speaking about Croatia's war with Serbia, Kitarovic said she have regretted of not shooting on Serbs.

The Serbian daily Informer has opened today's newspaper with a photograph of the Croatian president wearing a military uniform.

"Žao mi je što nisam pucala na Srbe". "I'm sorry that I didn't shoot the Serbs," is the headline of a Serbian newspaper article.

Kitarovic says she has regretted of not taking a rifle and not joining the war against Serbs during the Operation 'Oluja' or otherwise known as 'Storm'.
