Eye Flu in Albania, Public Health Institute warns
 
 The Institute of Public Health (IPH) has raised the alarm about the epidemic spread of the eye flu virus in the Albanian region. According to a warning published on this site on Facebook, IPH says the eye flu virus is aggressive and manifests itself with symptoms even two weeks after the first contact.

The IPH has warned the citizens to pay attention to hygiene because this virus is transmitted through eye contact with unwashed hands but also through air, towels, cushion, and hands.

Swimming pools and beaches are the premises that provide a more fertile ground for the spreading this virus, IPH says.

Meanwhile, ophthalmologists confirm an increasing number of people affected by this infection.

"There was a record number we have not encounter before. Maybe we do not have 100% accurate statistics, but the number has been too high compared to other years, so this year has broken every record," the oculus Rubin Topi said in an interview to media.

Symptoms of Eye Flu
The virus that causes eye flu virus causes a variety of symptoms and complications.

When the eyes are affected by this flu, they get blow and blush.

People find it difficult to see clearly while the virus may hurt the eyesight.

The ophthalmologists explain that when the virus is present, the eyes are noticeably fried while in the morning one may have secretions.

In most cases, the eye covers are attached to secretions and can not be opened naturally.

The affected persons has to use their hands to open their eyes and see, experts say.

Complications can be aggravated by culminating in loss of sight.

Doctors have warned that people who are infected with this virus must not go to the sea and the pool because this infection can be spread through water.
