Albanian gang thieves destroyed in Italy, 5 arrested

Italian police have managed to destroy a bunch of Albanians operating in Florence and the peripheral areas.

Five Albanians are accused of stealing in the streets of Arezzo between Valdarno and Casentino. The handcuffed Albanians have been living temporarily in Florence, and are between the ages of 21 and 37, Italian media writes.

The robberies are suspected of having been occurred between 16 and 20 July in the Arezzo area and in particular in San Giustino Valdarno, Loro Ciuffenna, Castelfranco Piandiscò and Poppi. The five men apparently had their base in Florence, from where they organized the robberies.

It is reported that the Albanians had been able to enter the apartment and stole about more than 19,000 thousand of euros. The gang had failed in some cases to succeed in the robbery. The Albanians have already been detained, while investigations have been able to record conversations among them about "operations" of robberies.

All five arrested were injured during the clashes with the police. There was strong resistance from the suspected looters. The aggression against the police has worsened their situation, as they will have to face even more accusations of opposition and violation of the public official.
