Rare pictures of Vlora and surroundings in 1930s

 At the Getty Institute there is a World Cultural Heritage 'treasure' of pictures, including Albania.

An anonymous photographer in 1900 traveled to southern Albania, in particular in Vlora, shooting a photo album.

The photos were made in the city of Vlora and surrounding villages reflecting the original life of Albanians 120 years ago.

There are about 20 photographs that are released for the public for the first time. These are the some pictures from The J. Paul Getty Trust's treasury.
