31-years old Kosovo Albanian arrested in Germany because of alleged connections with ISIS
 
 German authorities detained a Kosovo citizen who was accused of supporting the Islamic State (IS) militant group, by transferring thousands of euros to a fighter and a potential recruiter.

The Federal Prosecutor's Office said the 31-year-old, identified only as Hasan Rejan B, was arrested Wednesday at Pineberg near Hamburg, AP reports. He is suspected of 15 counts of supporting the Islamic State militant group and 11 counts of violating the German export laws.

Prosecutors said the suspect had made 11 transfers in 2016 and 2017 for an IS fighter in Syria. Also according to the Prosecution, in 2015, he transferred money to a person from North Macedonia, who wanted to join IS's fighters in Syria. In total, he has transferred about 15,000 euros.

According to official data in Kosovo, from 2012 to 2016, over 400 Kosovo citizens have gone to war zones in Syria and Iraq. More than 130 people have been convicted in Kosovo for participating in the wars in Syria and Iraq. Kosovo has drafted a law in 2015, with which any person taking part in foreign wars may be sentenced up to 15 years in prison.
