The Netherlands submits officially the request to Brussels: Suspend visas for Albanians

 The Netherlands has officially submitted today to the European Commission the draft resolution approved recently in the Dutch parliament, requiring the return of visas regime to Albanians.

In a letter to the Commissioner for Migration and Foreign Affairs, Dimitris Avramopoulos, the Netherlands requested in writing for the European Commission to consider the suspension of visas for the Albanian citizens.

The resolution requiring the return of visas to Albanians was voted on April 16 in the Dutch parliament. The resolution was drafted by 5 parties, VVD, CDA, PVV, SP, CU and voted by a majority of votes, 108 votes in favor and 42 against.
