 The Vetevendosje Movement (Self-Determination) has submitted a request to get registered in Albania. The activity of this movement in Kosovo is political, but it is explained in a public communication, the center created in Albania aims to unite the two countries.

"The center will work to raise awareness that the national unification and integration of Albania, and beyond Albanians, in the Euro-Atlantic structures (like the European Union and NATO) are processes that need to be done in parallel and complement each other," is said among other things in the statement.

On March 11, 2019, we submitted to the Tirana District Court the documentation and the request for registration of the Center for Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE! in Albania".

The Board members of this organization, all citizens of the Republic of Albania, are: Enis Sulstarova, Liburn Aliu, Hysamedin Feraj, Elvis Hoxha, Dejona Mihali, Sami Kurteshi, Arber Zaimi and Gearda Demiraj.

The Executive Director who is unanimously voted by the Board is Boiken Abazi.

The founders, all citizens of the Republic of Albania are: Glauk Konjufca, Gearda Demiraj, Dejona Mihali, Enis Sulstarova, Hysamedin Feraj, Elvis Hoxha and Boiken Abazi.

 We expect from the Court of the Tirana Judicial District to take a decision regarding the registration of this Center within legal deadlines.

The VETËVENDOSJE! in Albania works based on the principle of equality, democracy, and the freedom of will and social justice to increase awareness and engagement in relation to the Albanian national issue and social progress in all their dimensions and problems within and outside the territory of the Republic of Albania. The Center aims to provide support for the exercise of the democratic right to self-determination of the Albanian people for the realization of the unification of the independent state of Kosovo with Albania, based on the Preamble of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania and the principle of self-determination of peoples expressed in the Chapter 1 of the Charter of the United Nations. The Center is inspired by the values ​​expressed by VETËVENDOSJE! in the Republic of Kosovo and in the history of the Albanian people's resistance to the struggle for freedom, where the National Renaissance should be emphasized, as well as the recent liberation wars under the countries of the former Yugoslavia.

The center will work to raise awareness that national unification and integration of Albania, and beyond Albanians, into Euro-Atlantic structures (such as the European Union and NATO) are processes that need to be realized in parallel and complement each other. It aims to increase the awareness and civic activism in the Republic of Albania on the problems of Albanians living in autochthonous Albanian lands outside the territory of the Republic of Albania, and vice versa...

For the realization of its goals, the Center considers important the local action as the best support for such regional and global action.

The Center for Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE! in Albania aims to achieve the goal through the following activity:

Establishing bridges of communication and cooperation projects with civil society, academic and intellectual spheres, trade unions and students, in Albania, Kosovo and the Albanian territories of the Balkan region, as well as with compatriots living in exile.

Cooperation with Albanian and foreign organizations that have common values ​​with the Center.

Drafting of analyzes related to national, economic, institutional, geopolitical, educational, health, trade union, business, environmental, women's and socio-cultural issues directly affecting social welfare and the Albanian national affairs, as well as organizing public presentations for them.

The vnvolvement in public activities of citizens of different professions and regions in relation to multi-dimensional problems of production and creation.

The realization and participation in national and international conferences.

Organizing public awareness campaigns related to the purpose of the Center.

Encouraging active and democratic civic engagement with the public.

Study and analysis of relations between the two Albanian Republics regarding:

Institutional cooperation in the implementation of intergovernmental agreements.

Trade relations, along with advocating for the elimination of barriers hindering the establishment of a common market and customs union between Albania and Kosovo.

Advocacy for the protection of the rights of Albanians in their autochthonous areas in the Balkans.

Monitoring, analyzing and presenting alternatives related to regional agreements, and beyond, affecting directly the public and national issues.

Analysis of media and public opinion in the Republic of Albania, and other Albanian territories of the region.
