The head of the Democratic Party of Albania, Lulzim Basha, said that his party will not participate in June 30th local elections.
"The date of the local elections will be postponed, we will not have elections on June 30," he said at the TV show "Tempora" at RTV Ora.Basha said that elections will be held when honest elections are guaranteed.
"We will not have elections on June 30. The election date will be postponed. Albania is not a loser of equatorial Africa or the former Soviet republics. Without punishing electoral crime, starting with Dibra in 2016, without punishing the perpetrators of electoral crime, no one could think of guaranteeing an election process. Unless it is not guaranteed there can be no fake choices," he said.
