Croatia issued about 1,300 work permits for Kosovars
 

 The opening of thousands of jobs for foreigners has turned Croatia into one of the main destinations for Kosovars.

About 1 300 citizens from Kosovo have been granted residence and work permits from Croatia's Ministry of Internal Affairs since the beginning of this year.

"The consular office (in Pristina) since the beginning of the year received about 1,300 visa applications based on the issuance of residence permits and work by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Croatia," told to media the Croatian Embassy in Pristina.

"Most permits are foreseen in the construction sector (17,800) and in hotel and tourism (10,611), while for the seasonal tourism are foreseen 5,000 permits," the Croatian embassy said.

At the end of last year, the Croatian government adopted a decision on determining the annual quota for employment of foreigners for 2019.

At the Embassy of this country in Pristina have shown that the total quota for 2019 is 65 thousand work permits, including the extension of existing permits. 15 thousand out of them will be the continuation of existing permits, while 50,000 and 100 new permits.
