Violence at the Assembly of March 16 protest; 33 Albanians detained

 33 people aged 19 to 41 have been detained so far because of the acts of violence at the March 16 protest in front of the Parliament, considered by the police as an outlaw rally.

According to a report by Tirana Police, among the detainees is also the citizen G.B., organizer of this protest.

A police source told to Oculus News that this citizen is the Secretary General of Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi.

Also, Tirana police say they are being prosecuted in a free state 11 other people, while 7 people are declared wanted.

The proceedings so far have been undertaken after an analysis of film footage, service reports, and other evidence collected by the investigative group.

The arrested will be faced with allegations of consumption of the elements of the criminal offenses "Organization and participation in illegal gatherings and manifestations", "Violent opposition of the police officer," "Destruction of order and public tranquility" and"  Keeping and using explosive materials".

"Investigations continue to identify, capture and take legal responsibility for other persons who have committed violent acts during yesterday's protest," the Tirana Police said.
