Two persons prosecuted in Tirana after did't closed their gambling stores

  After the entry into force of the law on the closure of gambling at January 1, 2019, seems that not all the subjects have implemented it. Tirana police say two subjects have not implemented the law by continuing their activity. For this reason, their two owners have been prosecuted.

They are accused of "Organising unauthorised lotteries" and "Making available illegal playrooms".

Police announce that full control will be exercised throughout the Tirana district, not allowing any sports bets, which is already illegal from January 1.

Tirana Police continues to carry out controls across the county based on a plan of measures to identify the illegal exercise and development of gambling.

Two subjects did not close the activity and suspected gambling equipment was found.

Local police prosecuted their owners, namely:

- T.C, 22 years old, resident in Tirana, for the criminal offences "Organising Illegal Lotteries" and "Making Available Premises for Gambling", as in Bardhok Biba Street he did not closed his activity.

- E.B., for the criminal offence "Unauthorised Organisation of Gambling", as in the street "Muhamet Allushi" on his subject were found suspected gambling equipment.

The controls against the gambling activity will continue throughout the district of Tirana until the punishment of the last subject that exercises this anti-legal activity.
