Majlinda Bregu officially Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council

Majlinda Bregu

The former MP of Democratic Party of Albania, Majlinda Bregu is officially the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council.

Through a post on her official Facebook page, Bregu shared her greetings, while she says this will be a challenge for her.

"Beyond the differences and geographical boundaries, we have a common interest!"
Jean Monnet was convinced that "European nations had to unite to survive". The same goes for the Western Balkans. To maintain weight in a rapidly changing world, we need to strengthen our relationships.
Collaboration is the subject.

I am honored to assume the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council and I am proud that in an area where for years the challenge has been to keep the conflict alive, the Regional Cooperation Council has helped to empower a new reality: that of the joint engagement of all BP countries for the European future of the region.

The Regional Cooperation Council has been successful in generating substantial support for reforms in South East Europe, and will continue to be!

That is why I am convinced that together, under the auspices of the SEECP and EU support, including the media, civil society, we will try to make wise choices that promote dialogue with all the groups in society.

This will not be easy, will be a challenge to "swim" between difficult economic, social and political situations.

The future of the region is closely related to interconnection.
Integration of our economies into a single market, the relation of people and the coexistence of values; investment in human and intellectual capital, any reform is linked to our common political, security and obviously economic interest.

It is not incidental that the need for the Europe is so powerful in the region.

I am convinced that the pace of regional development will affect the pace of our European integration, for me it is a great privilege to run the RCC (RCC), just as it is a challenge that together with the dedication of the staff of the Regional Co-operation Council hope to face up to you!
