Albanian mothers care more about their children: record in Europe

The caring for the children is a duty of both parents who bring to life a child.

Well, Albanian women think they care for the baby more than their husbands. To the question "Do you care more for the children, fewer or less than your partner?" In the European Quality of Life Survey, 84% of women asked responded that they care more, and only 15% responded that they care just the same as a spouse. This is the highest percentage recorded in all EU member states and candidate states.

The men asked have not accepted  completely this reality, that in Albania women care more about their children.

About 60% of respondents in Albania responded that they care less than their spouses, 18% said they cared more than their wives and 22% said they care just as much as about their wives.

Women across Europe state that they care more about their children than their partners. About 70% of women asked in EU member states say they care more, 25% as much as their partner and 5% less than their partner. 61% of the men questioned in the EU have admitted that they care less than their wife, 11% more care and 28% care the same.

The highest proportion of men who claimed to care less than their wives for their children is the Czech Republic, with 91% of the responses. Even men in Hungary think that they care less than their women in terms of child care, with 81% of the responses claiming to care less.

In the region, the highest percentage of men responding that care less than their wives for children is Macedonia and Serbia with respectively 71 and 66 percent of respondents.

Sweden is the country with the highest percentage of responses that care just as much as their partner - 47% - for their children.
