The signing of the petition for Mitrovica unification  begins

  The Mayor of Mitrovica, Agim Bahtiri together with the vice-chairman Mayor Faruk Mujka, accompanied by directors of municipal directorates signed today a petition requesting the Assembly of Republic of Kosovo to initiate the procedure for Amending and Supplementing the Law no. 03 / L-041 on Administrative Municipal Borders, with the aim of merging the city of Mitrovica, but without violating the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo.

Bahtiri stressed that today begins the petition for joining the city of Mitrovica.

"I ask you to come forward with this petition and to address it legitimately to the Assembly of Kosovo. There will be no political party, but we will be for all, the petition begins today, and if anyone has any doubt that will not be realized is wrong, because will be accomplished. I ask you as citizen of Mitrovica to take care of your country and to respond voluntarily and massively to my initiative today," Bahtiri said.

This petition extends throughout Kosovo. In Mitrovica five points have been set, in front of the building of the municipal building, at the city square, near the bus station, at Isa Begu Mosque, where citizens have the opportunity to sign this petition.

The mayor of Mitrovica has also appealed to the President of the Kosovo Assembly, Kadri Veseli, who is from Mitrovica to sign this petition.
