Murati: Russia toward sending Military troops in Serbia
Shaban Murati

The Albanian politologist and political analyst Murat Shabani, in an analysis published today by most of the Albanian media, points out of how the director of the Moscow-based International Cooperation Center for Balkan Affairs, Viktor Kolbanovski, submits the proposal that "the only solution for Serbia is the establishment of a Russian military contingent in Central Serbia," in an article published on December 22 in Russian pro-government media EurAsia Daily titled "Serbia needs a Russian military contingent".

"It is the first time a pro-government media and a leader of a specialized Russian Center for the Balkans is proposing for a Russian military contingent to be set up in Serbia." Shabani writes.

He suggests that this is a warning signal of the expected developments in the Balkan region.

"The fact that the situation in the Balkans was included in the agenda of the Security Council meeting of the Russian Federation on December 17, testifies athat the region is in the focus of the Russian national security interests." The director of the Russian Balkan Center writes in the article .

"Even the Russian presidential press release on the above-mentioned meeting of the Federation Security Council members of the Federation, chaired by President Vladimir Putin, states that in the meeting is discussed in detail about the situation in the Balkans and does not mention any other region the world, not even Syria."

Among other things Shabani unveils his opinion that Russia is applying in the Balkans the successful method used in Syria - waiting for Western interests to clash between them.

Shabani things the region is close to a negative process that requires serious reflection, especially from the EU.
