The multidisciplinary expert commission between Bulgaria and Macedonia will propose that both governments celebrate jointly St. Cyril and Methodius Day and Gligor Prlicev, declared the Macedonian and Bulgarian Committee Chairmen, Dragi Gergiev and Angel Dimitrov.

"With our colleagues from the Republic of Macedonia, we have agreed in scientific terms to justify of why our two governments should continue to celebrate together the day of St. Cyril and Methodius," Angel Dimitrov explained during the third session of the Joint Commission.

Consensus has been reached and it is proposed that in both countries be respected and celebrated Grigor Prlicev, a man of exceptional merit for cultural and social development.

"We made serious efforts to get closer to the attitudes in interpreting medieval history and especially to King Samuil's person. Talks were long and serious, professionally accurate, hardly getting in a common position, but we did not got the gun," says Dimitrov.

Dragi Gorgiev, director of the National Institute of National History in Skopje, who co-chairs the Commission of the Republic of Macedonia, said the meeting in Sofia had a positive atmosphere and a desire for co-operation.

"I am happy with the meeting and I am back with positive energy in the Republic of Macedonia," Georgiev said.
