Double controls are removed in Albania-Kosovo border

The Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj through a post on his social network Twitter, announced a significant change on the border with Kosovo.

"Significant changes in border management with Kosovo. The double controls are removed. The two countries' police will jointly carry out controls under the one-stop-shop control," Lleshaj writes, referring to the decision of the Council of Ministers the day before, adding that "the Government approved yesterday the decision on this important change, that facilitates the free movement between Albania and Kosovo."

But this is not the last change that will take place, Lleshaj ads further adds: "The free movement facilitation does not end there. Soon much more important steps will be taken to establish fully European standards at the Albania-Kosovo border."
