The government adopted relevant changes to the establishment of special diaspora offices in local government units.
This is possible through changes in the law on local self-government that passed to Parliament.According to the draft law, municipalities are responsible for building a structure that will serve to perform some functions.
Among them are the promotion of organizations, both inside and outside the country to maintain continuous communication and strengthen relations with the Diaspora and Albanian migrants, provide assistance and information on issues related to registration and acquisition of statehood as well as the provision of assistance and information on the Albanian legislation in force for diaspora and migration stakeholders in the field of investment.
