 Wages increase in Albanian education, health, justice and diplomacy

 The wages are increase in education, health, justice and diplomacy. This was announced by the Minister of Finance and Economy, Arben Ahmetaj during the presentation of the 2019 budget and the new fiscal package. Yesterday afternoon, the draft budget approved by the Government went to the Assembly, where will have commission discussions until the moment of its approval. According to the minister, the economic growth for 2019 is projected at the level of 4.3% of Gross Domestic Product, while the budget deficit for 2019 is planned to be - 1.9% of Gross Domestic Product, which is the lowest historical deficit level. 

"For the fourth consecutive year, the Government Rama does not produce new debt, but creates surplus, which goes to address and pay debts inherited over the years. Although we are reducing public debt, we will still have a significant investment level of 5% of Gross Domestic Product. So, the Government as an economic actor, through public investment, which is about $ 900 million." Said Minister of Economy and Finance, Arben Ahmetaj.

Education
Education will continue to be over 3% of Gross Domestic Product and there will be a 7% increase in teacher salaries. Continuing the provision of free textbooks for 190,000 students of pre-university education, of which 125,000 of I-IV class students; free transportation for 28 thousand students and 10 thousand teachers; food quota treatment for 1000-1400 students. Meanwhile, the projects of the new schools will continue.

Health
"The budget of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection increases in nominal terms by over $ 24 million or $ 2.4 billion, including the birth and wage bonus, which are held as a separate salary policy in the budget table," the minister Ahmetaj said, as will continue the initiative undertaken by the Minister and Prime Minister for the reconstruction of all health centers that will be 100 throughout the country. Likewise, a number of hospitals will undergo complete reconstruction such as the Lushnja, Elbasan, Vlora, Berat, Lezha, Pogradec, and Mat.

Agriculture
The 2019 can simply be called the year of agriculture as well. 2.6 billion budget support will continue for farmers, but the good news is that the IPARD scheme will continue and the Albanian Government will allocate 1 billion euro funding to be able to attract lek 3 billion from the for the agriculture sector.

Justice
I want to emphasize that the 2019 budget fundamentally finances justice reform, the two major financial reform lines in justice: raising salaries for judges and prosecutors and financing the creation of all new justice reform institutions and full financing of vetingut. Going More than 2.2 biliard. PESC, HJC, Bureau of Investigation and SPAK institutions will be financed with 500 million leks.
