In the Archaeological Park of Amantias is held the Olympics of Amantiada - 2018.
This activity was organized by the Regional Directorate of National Culture of Vlora, in cooperation with DAR Vlora and Selenica Municipality.This activity is attended by about 300 pupils of the schools "Muço Delo", "Jani Minga" and "Elite", The Multiple Sports Club of the Municipality of Vlora as well as schools of the Municipality of Selenica.
The students held different races and games such as: rope pulling, sailing, spinning and egg racing, racing, boxing, football, volleyball etc. On this occasion is held a concert by students with traditional dance and songs.
Amantia was founded at the end of the 5th century BC. It is located on a hill and is fortified with walls.
In the 3rd century BC the city was economically strengthened and released its first coins.
In 268 BC, the city cut off its currency. There are still traces of Aphrodite temple, theater and stadium.
