Serbia wants to arrest the commanders of Djuric's arrest

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic has stated that Serbia's competent bodies are taking measures and actions that should lead to an indictment against the commanders for arresting the director of the Kosovo Office in the Government of Serbia, Marko Djuric.

Stefanovic said in the Serbian Parliament that "citizens of Serbia are witnesses of the act of terrorism against Marko Djuric and Serbian citizens who live in Kosovo and the Organized Crime Prosecution has started investigations."

"There is already a good direction in the sense that we have persons who have participated in different actions and that those indictments are filed against those persons while the circumstances are waiting for them to be accessible to our bodies..."Danas quoted Stafanovic as saying.

He said the Ministry of Justice and the Interior Ministry are working intensively on this issue.

On the other hand, some Serbian media sources say that among the persons that Serbia is expected to file an indictment are former Kosovo Police Director, now KIA chief, Shpend Maxhuni, former Interior Minister, Flamur Sefaj and chief of Deputy Prime Minister's Cabinet and Foreign Minister Jetlir Zyberaj.

"These three people have been the main ones in managing the situation and in implementing the political order that Marko Djuric be arrested in Mitrovica," these sources say.

According to them, the order issued by Pacolli's office through Zyberaj was implemented "unlawfully" by Sefaj and Maxhuni.

The action for the arrest of Gjuriqi in Mitrovica was welcomed by everyone in Kosovo, but there were also such politicians who were not very enthusiastic, especially with the fact that he was brought to Pristina and then fled to Serbia through Merdar's border crossing point.
