How much an Albanian worker get paid, from the one who works underground to the bar-cafe?

The most recent data released by the Albanian State Institute of Statistics in the speaks about 469,000 employees in the economic enterprises.

These figures do not include the banking sector, while some state-owned enterprises are also included.

The Economic Enterprise Survey includes the fund that enterprises have made available based on sectors for the salaries. Based on calculations made by "SCAN", it turns out that the industry with the highest average salaries is the extractive industry.

But, on the other hand, these data also show the level of informality in various sectors, as the sectors with the highest salaries are the most formalized ones, such as telecommunications or extractive industries.

In this sector there are 11,120 employees and a fund for salaries of ALL 8.6 billion, which translates to about € 64 million a year.

This means that an employee in this sector is paid in an average about € 479 per month, followed by the transport, information and communication sector, with an average salary of € 369 per month. This sector has about 34,000 employees.

Third, electricity, water and waste treatment are spent are paid with € 332 per month. Then there is the construction industry paid with 250 euros per month, processing industry with 193 euros per month, trade with 151 euros per month, and finally accommodation and food, which are included in the majority of employees at Bar-Coffee.

This sector turns out to be the last one not only because of very low salaries but also because of informality. Enterprises in this sector declare only 52,000 employees and a salary fund of only 7.4 billion a year, or € 55 million, which translates to € 88 per month for one employee.
