Mirdita police have provided details of the tragedy that took place today in the village of Petoq, where a 15-year-old shot with kalashnikov over his brother, three years younger.
The tragic event happened accidentally when the two brothers, guarding the cattle on the mountain, were suspected to have been playing with the kalashnikov.
The infant's lifeless body is sent to the morgue of the hospital for complete forensic expertise. At the scene police have sequestered the kalashnikov weapon and two shells, while the father of two boys and some other persons were escorted to the Mirdita Police Station in order to clarify the circumstances of the incident."On 15.11.2017, at around 18:00, in the village of Petoq in Fan - Mirdita, it is suspected that 2 brothers, namely the citizens E.T. 15 years old and D.T. 12, have been guarding their livestock on the mountain, allegedly playing with an automatic firearm, citizen E.T. negligently is suspected of killing his brother D.T. The body of the victim was sent to the morgue of the hospital for complete forensic expertise. The kalashnikov and 2 shells are found at the scene and sequestered as material proof. The citizen E.T., his father, and several other persons, were escorted to the Mirdita Police Station in order to clarify the circumstances of the incident. The investigative team, in cooperation with the Lezha Judicial District Prosecution, continues to investigate at the scene for the full disclosure of the incident," the police said..
