Albania hits the highest economic growth in Balkans WB report says

 Albania has made progress in terms of the economy over the past year with an increase of 3.5%, among the highest in the region. 

This figures were published by the World Bank on its annual report on economic growth relating to the Western Balkans.

According to World Bank, in 2016 has continuet the growth and fiscal consolidation.

World Bank Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Ellen Goldstein, said: "Albania has implemented vigorously reforms". According to her, growth and employment grew especially in countries that have made significant progress in reducing the deficit, addressing the legacy problems of a large and inefficient state.

While the team leader for the Western Balkans, Marco Hernandez raised the concern that "the political crisis will slow economic reforms and growth."

According to World Bank data, regional economic growth for 2016 was 2.8%, while for 2017 is projected 3.2%./Oculus News
