Albanian film "Tomka and his friends" on Washington DC on February 5

 The Albanian film, "Tomka and his friends", in its restored version, will appear in Washington DC on February 5.

This project is made possible by the Albanian Cinema Project and Albanian American Academy, with the support of the Albanian Embassy in the US within the arts and education program of the World Bank.

The film "Tomka and his friends" is a short feature film directed by Xhanfize Kekos and is published firstly in 1977. The film has to do about a story during World War II, Immediately after the capitulation of fascist Italy and Nazi arrival in the city. The film recounts the efforts of children to regain their field they play football captured by Nazi.

The film "Tomka and his friends", is restored  recently in the Library of Congress in the US, thanks to a collaboration with the Central State Archive of Film and Cinema Project Albania.
