Albania and Germany signed today a protocol of cooperation for the next 2-years
The agreement signed between Deputy Prime Niko Peleshi and German Ambassador in Tirana, Susanne Schuetz, provides a fund of 41.4 million euros in support of development projects in Albania.
Peleshi in his speech praised the German contribution to our country, which is estimated at more than 1 billion euros in 20 years of cooperation."Madam Ambassador is starting her duty and today is her second official day in Albania in a very important and positive moment of the development of our economic and political relations..."
The German Ambassador Susanne Schuetz said that the cooperation between the two countries is seen as a very important part of the general cooperation with Albania in its path towards the EU.
"Germany welcomes Albania's constructive role for the peaceful development and stabilization of the Western Balkans, as was emphasized at the conference Western Balkan countries on July 4th in Paris," said the ambassador.
