The Minister of Culture of Albania, Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi and the Croatian Culture Minister, Zlatko Hasanbegović signed the cooperation program in the field of culture for the period 2016 -2019.
This is the fifth program of implementation of cooperation between the two countries, prepared on the basis of the Agreement for education, culture and research between the two governments (signed in Tirana on February 1, 1994).
The program provides cooperation and exchange in all the fields of culture and art for the period 2016-2019, also encourages and supports direct cooperation agreements between institutions, experts, artists and associations of independent artistic scene. Special attention is paid to the protection and preservation of the cultural heritage and cultural piracy prevention, as well as cooperation and exchange of experts in the form of study visits, participation in the festival and other important cultural events of both countries.The program also includes the exchange of exhibitions, film, ballet, music, opera, theater and modern art performances, workshops in the field of heritage, as well as the encouragement to run the collaboration between writers and their publishing houses in order to known closely each other with today's Albanian and Croatian literature, without leaving aside the historical and albanological studies.
