Special Tribunal approved by Parliament of Kosovo

Parliament of Kosovo approved the constitutional amendments that will allow establishment of Special War Court with more than two thirds– 82 votes pro, 5 against and 1 abstention. According to sources, it will convene today evening in extraordinary session on two draft laws passed by the govt. today.
Review of amendment no 24 in the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo was the only topic on the agenda of parliament’s plenary session which started in the morning and later in the day was heated up with arguments pro and against.

“I see that parliament has approved the amendment. Constitutional amendments come in effect after their passage through parliament of Kosovo,” parliament speaker Kadri Veseli said.
