In the light of the second edition of the annual meeting entitled “Meet in Macchia “/ “Incontriamoci a Macchia” during an activity organized by Arbëresh Cultural Association, “J. De Rada ” in cooperation with University Foundation “Frances Solano” of Calabria University in the comune of Giarre, province of Catania, in the island of Sicily were presented on August 21, two important editions of De Rada.
Guest speaker of the activity was the Director of National Library of Albania, Persida Asllani, who presented the anaesthetic ontological publication of “De Rada in the Albanian press 1887-1944″ published jointly with the National Library of Kosovo ” Pjetër Bogdani” as well as the new issue of the scientific journal of the Albano-logical Studies, Faculty of History and Philology of the University of Tirana.
Asllani explained that the publications of “De Rada in the Albanian press 1887-1944” are an anthology of selected and most beautiful critical writings and comments published in Albanian cultural media, bringing to the attention of Arbëresh public and also the special sensitivity De Rada Work and Name enjoyed in Albanian cultural world until 1944 “.
President of the Arbëresh Cultural Association “J. De Rada “, Ernesto Madeo submitted the action plan on creating a Arbëresh Literary Park, and stressed the necessity of specialized support of the Albanian institutions.
Also, an interesting panel in the second Edition of “Meet in Macchia” was the debate on “good language and bad language” in the framework of RAI reform about minority languages.
