Basha discusses corruption with Italian minister

The head of DP, Lulzim Basha met today with the Foreign Minister of Italy, Federica Mogherini, who is visiting the region and whose country holds for the next 6 months the EU presidency.

Basha expressed his gratitude for the support Italy has given Albania in 23 years of transition.

"The Democratic Party considers the EU status as a big chance for Albania and is determined to give her contribution. But the political situation in our country has become a big crisis because Rama and Meta are ignoring the democratic standards and rule of law" Basha said.
Basha also mentioned some examples like the debate for the head of HIDAA AMA, INSTAT and the School of Magistrates.
They ignored the EU call regarding the reform in the justice system for all parties to be involved, for transparency. The government tried to approve laws with the intentions of controlling the High Council of Justice.
Basha also mentioned the dismissal of 8 thousand workers from the administration, and replacing them with people that have a criminal past.
Basha also mentioned the case of Sadrit Danaj, head of Vlora county council, who has been arrested in Italy for abducting a kid in order to ask for money and the case of Arben Ndoka, sentences in Italy for prostitution. /albeu.com/
