Luxembourg is proud to support Kosovo

 President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga had a meeting today with His Majesty, Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg accompanied by Minister of Defense of Luxembourg, Etienne Schneider.


President Jahjaga thanked the Luxembourg Grand Duke for the support that Luxembourg has given to Kosovo in all periods of the process of state building and democratic consolidation.

President Jahjaga stated that "Kosovo's relations with Luxembourg are very good and they can extend to other areas, particularly in trade and economic cooperation."


She said that Kosovo has made great progress in the past 15 years and together with international partners is working hard to create a comprehensive state, Kosovo Presidency states in an official announcement.


President Jahjaga stressed that Kosovo remains committed to dialogue with Serbia, and has shown constructivity in dialogue, and agreements reached in Brussels should be implemented totally.


Jahjaga said that "Kosovo has completed negotiations for Stabilisation and Association Agreement with European Union, as the essential first step on the path towards future membership, and we expect that the formalization of this agreement to happen as soon as possible.


His Highness said that Kosovo has made great progress in recent years and that his country is proud of the contribution and assistance they have provided to Kosovo.

He stressed that Luxembourg will continue to help Kosovo in the process of European integration, international recognition and in the field of security, but also in the field of economic development.
