Albanian Couple Jailed in UK After Police Find 9 kg of Cannabis and £51,000 Cash

 An Albanian couple has been sentenced to prison in Birmingham, United Kingdom, after police discovered drugs, large amounts of cash, and luxury goods during a search of their home.

According to British authorities, Kristian Lleshi, 35, and Xhuljana Trimi, 29, were each sentenced to two years and seven months in prison following the investigation.

During the search of the couple's residence, officers seized 9 kilograms of cannabis along with more than £51,000 in cash, which had been hidden inside the property,as local media reports.

Police also confiscated a number of luxury items believed to be linked to the investigation, including gold jewelry, designer handbags, and expensive footwear.

The case forms part of ongoing efforts by UK law enforcement agencies to combat illegal drug trafficking and recover assets suspected to be connected to criminal activity.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the wider investigation or whether additional individuals are linked to the case.
