Albania U-19 Narrowly Defeated by Bulgaria in First Friendly at National Football Base

 The Albania U-19 national team played their first friendly match against Bulgaria U-19 this afternoon at the “National Football Base”, where the young Albanian side was narrowly defeated 1-0.

Head coach Fatjon Tafaj started the match with the following lineup: Daniel Culi (GK), Frestim Gaxheri, Leon Sylejmani, Betim Hasanaj, Endrit Asani, Serxho Vogli, Andreas Llana (C), Rikardo Sheji, Oliver Blini, Kevin Gjoka, and Alen Vukaj.

It was a competitive and well-fought match, with both teams showing good intensity and creating their own chances throughout the game. Albania U-19 showed solid defensive organization, especially in the first half, while also attempting to threaten through counter-attacks.

The opening 45 minutes were balanced, with both sides playing cautiously and focusing on maintaining structure. In the second half, Bulgaria managed to break the deadlock in the 71st minute through Deykov, scoring the only goal of the match.

Despite Albania’s efforts to respond and find an equalizer in the final stages, the score remained unchanged until the final whistle.

The two teams will meet again on June 7 for the second friendly match, which is scheduled to kick off at 10:30, once again at the “National Football Base”.
