The issue first emerged when JOQ Albania published the testimony of a concerned mother, who described an unusual encounter involving her child. According to her account, a woman wearing a headscarf approached the child and, upon noticing the parent nearby, quickly covered her face. The behavior raised alarm and sparked questions about the intent behind the interaction.

Following the publication, the case gained wider attention. Dozens of additional reports were sent to the newsroom from citizens across different areas, describing similar situations. These repeated accounts fueled uncertainty and prompted public calls for clarification from authorities, including appeals directed at the State Police leadership.

In response, the State Police released a statement confirming that the individuals involved are women belonging to the Iranian Mojahedin group, who are currently based in the Manëz area of Albania. Authorities stressed that, according to their assessment, these individuals do not pose any danger or harmful intent toward children or the general public.

Despite the official reassurance, concerns have not fully subsided. Citizens continue to report similar encounters, indicating that skepticism remains and that trust in official explanations is still fragile. The persistence of these reactions highlights the need for clearer communication and greater transparency from institutions.

The situation once again emphasizes the importance of timely and accurate public information, especially on matters related to safety. Strengthening communication between authorities and citizens is seen as key to avoiding misunderstandings and restoring a sense of security within the community.
