Albania remains the cheapest camping destination in Europe in 2026, according to a new report by camping.info, with average nightly prices significantly below the continental average.
A recent analysis published by the German platform camping.info highlights Albania as the most affordable country for camping holidays in Europe. The average cost for a night for two people stands at just €14.38, covering pitch fees, caravan, car, electricity, and local taxes. This positions Albania at the very bottom of the European price scale, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers.
Across Europe, camping prices vary widely, ranging from €14.38 in Albania to €41.26 in Croatia. Other high-cost destinations include Italy (€41.21), Switzerland (€40.68), and Austria (€40.56). Meanwhile, countries such as Greece (€26.07), Portugal (€26.27), and France (€26.75) fall closer to the mid-range. Overall, camping prices in Europe have increased by an average of 3.49% compared to the previous year, reflecting broader tourism cost trends.
The report also identifies “Kamping Pa Emër” as the top-rated campsite in Albania for 2026. Known for its strong value-for-money offering, it exemplifies the country’s competitive edge in the camping sector. Maximilian Möhrle, Managing Director of camping.info, emphasized that travelers on a limited budget can benefit further by choosing campsites located away from major tourist hotspots.
