Albania’s U-17 national team is set to play two international friendly matches against Slovenia U-17 this October, as part of their final preparations for the upcoming UEFA U-17 European Championship qualifiers.
The Albanian Football Association (FSHF) and the Slovenian Football Federation have reached an agreement to organize these encounters, which will take place at the “House of Football” in Tirana.
The first friendly match is scheduled for October 9 at 11:00 AM, followed by the second clash on October 11 at 11:00 AM. Both games will be crucial opportunities for coach Fatjon Tafaj and his young squad to fine-tune their strategy before the competitive stage begins.
These two friendlies represent the last testing ground for the red and black youngsters ahead of the UEFA U-17 Euro 2025 Qualifiers, where Albania has been drawn into Group 8 alongside Croatia, the Netherlands, and Kazakhstan.
The qualification mini-tournament will be hosted in Croatia, with Albania scheduled to play on November 11, 14, and 17, 2025. Facing strong European opponents, the friendlies against Slovenia will help the team evaluate their readiness and build confidence.
Albania U-17 continues to show determination and ambition, with fans hopeful that this talented generation can make a strong impact on the continental stage.
