Two young Albanian athletes in Montenegro, Gabriel Pllumaj and Mario Gjurashaj from Malësia, have achieved gold medals at the International Olympic Games for Children and Adults with Developmental Disabilities, held in Ulcinj, Montenegro.
The international competition took place on May 16 and 17, 2025, organized by the "Sirena" Day Center in Ulcinj. The "Children of Montenegro" Association from Tuzi proudly sent its two representatives, Gabriel Pllumaj and Mario Gjurashaj, to compete in two disciplines: standing long jump and 100-meter dash.
In the standing long jump, both Gabriel and Mario secured first place in their respective groups, demonstrating remarkable athletic prowess. For the 100-meter dash, Mario continued his winning streak by clinching first place, while Gabriel also delivered a strong performance, earning a second-place finish.
These impressive achievements highlight the dedication and talent of these young Albanian athletes, bringing pride to their community and inspiring others.
